LUNARC recently took delivery of a modern higher performing storage system.  This will replace the current storage system, which has reached its end of life and can no longer be maintained into the future in an economic fashion.

Migration of user data is currently ongoing and is expected to be completed in about 2 to 3 weeks.  The ongoing data migration should be unnoticable to most COSMOS users.  During the migration, only under certain circumstances a minor performance impact regarding file access might be noticable.
