LUNARC service stop 25 - 27 September

– Published 25 August 2023

There will be a service stop for most LUNARC systems from 25th September 2023 until 27th September 2023.  The service stop is scheduled to start at 8:00 in the morning of the 25th September and systems are expected back in service at 17:00 on the 27th September.  The service stop is required to facilitate important service and upgrades work to the compute infrastructure, which can not be done during normal user service.

During the service stop login to the COSMOS and old Aurora frontend nodes will be disabled, which includes the LUNARC HPC desktop.  The job queues will be drained prior to the service stop.   Jobs which can not be guaranteed to finish before the service stop will be held in queue during the service stop and are expected to be executed once service resumes.

Any questions and comments you may have should be addressed to LUNARC support.

LUNARC apologises for any inconvenience caused by the service stop.
